The Sig P938 is a 9mm pistol that follows the single-action, single-stack design. It shares a striking resemblance to both its predecessor, the Sig P238, and the 1911-pattern pistol, which they are directly descended from.
The P938 was introduced a few years after the P238 and features a steel slide and an aluminum frame. One notable upgrade by Sig is the sharply checkered front strap of the P938, which is highly appreciated. The controls on the P938 are reminiscent of 1911: a slide stop/slide release lever, magazine release, and thumb safety. The safety on the P938 is ambidextrous, while both the P238 and P938 lack the grip safety found on 1911.
With an exposed, skeletonized hammer, the P938 gives off a traditional 1911 appearance. However, the trigger is not a straight-to-the-rear pull like a typical 1911.
Instead, it is hinged at the top like most pistols. The trigger has a very short travel distance, as does its reset.
Of course, buyers always try to find the best price for the Sig Sauer P938. As a rule, using online purchases, you can find a cheap option, but it is important to pay attention to the age and characteristics of the weapon. Sig Sauer P938 for sale can often be found both new and already in use. On average, the price starts from $ 600.
Advantages:
Compactness: The P938 offers exceptional compactness, making it an ideal choice for concealed carry enthusiasts who prefer pocket or ankle holsters. Its lightweight design allows for comfortable extended carrying.
9mm Caliber: The widely used 9mm cartridge delivers effective stopping power against potential threats. Additionally, its higher magazine capacity compared to other calibers can provide an advantage in self-defense scenarios.
Reliability: The P938 is renowned for its reliability, consistently performing flawlessly even when using various types of ammunition.
Disadvantages:
Limited Capacity: With a magazine capacity of typically 6-7 rounds, the P938 falls short in terms of capacity. This could be a drawback in situations that require multiple rounds for self-defense.
Recoil: Due to its compact size and the power of the 9mm cartridge, the P938 exhibits notable recoil. This can pose challenges for follow-up shots, necessitating additional practice to achieve proficiency.
