Springfield Armory has taken a step further in enhancing the Hellcat design with the introduction of the RDP, or Rapid Defense Package, chambered in 9mm. While retaining the core features of the original Hellcat, this model brings substantial improvements to the table, including a compensator and an upgraded micro red dot sight.
One noticeable enhancement is found in the trigger, which now boasts a flat design and incorporates Gen 2 performance upgrades. Additionally, the RDP stands out with its self-indexing compensator, designed to enhance shooting control, and a compact, always-on, and long-lasting red dot optic, which greatly contributes to aiming precision.
Upon the initial release of the Hellcat by Springfield Armory, it was evident from reviews that they had created a micro 9mm handgun with impressive capabilities, destined to gain popularity within the concealed carry community. The Hellcat RDP takes these capabilities to the next level, offering a comprehensive package of premium features that transforms it into a high-performance defensive pistol. Remarkably, it manages to deliver custom-grade attributes without the steep price tag typically associated with custom firearms.
At its core, the RDP is built upon the foundation of the Hellcat—a compact, lightweight, and highly shootable 9mm handgun with an 11+1 capacity (expandable to 13+1 using the included extended magazine).
The price of the Springfield Hellcat RDP for sale may change, but in recent months these changes are quite insignificant. On average, the best price of the Springfield Hellcat RDP starts at $700 or $800, depending on the classification of the model. Cheaper Springfield Hellcat RDP online can be bought on sites that sell pistols already in use.
Pros :
Enhanced Trigger: The RDP features a flat-style trigger with Gen 2 performance upgrades, resulting in a smoother and more responsive trigger pull.
Self-Indexing Compensator: The built-in compensator helps reduce recoil and muzzle rise, allowing for faster follow-up shots and improved control.
Upgraded Micro Red Dot Sight: The included red dot optic provides quick and precise target acquisition, enhancing overall accuracy.
Cons :
Compensator Noise: The compensator, while effective at reducing recoil, can produce a louder report when fired.
Limited Holster Compatibility: Some holsters may not accommodate the compensator, limiting holster options for concealed carry.
