Sig Sauer has recently introduced a .380 ACP variant of their popular P365 pistol. The P365-380 retains all the impressive features of the original 9mm version while incorporating some notable enhancements. One significant improvement is the optic cut configuration, allowing for easy installation of optics. However, the most significant upgrade lies in the reduced felt recoil, providing a smoother shooting experience.
Released earlier this year, the .380 version maintains the same compact size as the original P365, featuring a 3.1-inch barrel. Sig Sauer currently offers three variations of the .380 model: a standard version with regular-height iron sights, a variant with manual safety, and the model equipped with tall iron sights and the Sig RomeoZero Elite red dot sight pre-installed.
In terms of ammunition capacity, the .380 version matches its 9mm counterpart. The flush-fitting magazines hold 10 rounds and can be equipped with an optional extended finger rest. Additionally, longer 12-round magazines are also available. The .380 version is compatible with the fire control group and grip modules from the 9mm P365 series, allowing for interchangeability. For instance, the .380 slide can be seamlessly combined with a Wilson Combat grip module designed for the 9mm XL variant. This combination works exceptionally well, especially when paired with the 12-round magazines.
