Springfield Armory has built its reputation on a line of striker-fired pistols, including the well-known XD Legacy series, XD(M), and XD-S. Yet, within the XD family, a hidden gem stands out uniquely – the XD-E.
So, what exactly is the XD-E? It represents a departure from the XD pattern pistols we're accustomed to, introducing a line of hammer-fired handguns that challenge our preconceptions. Today, we'll explore this lineup and focus on my recent acquisition, the XD-E 3.8. Springfield Armory strategically positioned the XD-E as a versatile firearm for self-defense enthusiasts.
This handgun offers a remarkable feature set, including the flexibility to carry it in either traditional double-action mode or as a cocked and locked pistol. Notably, it deviates from the grip safety seen in other XD models, replacing it with a frame-mounted safety that also functions as a de-cocker. The inclusion of the Low Effort Slide provides a potential solution for individuals with limited upper body strength.
The XD-E features a traditional double-action trigger system, characterized by a long initial trigger pull followed by lighter single-action shots in subsequent rounds. Once you've finished shooting, simply press the frame-mounted decocker to return the pistol to its initial double-action mode.
However, Springfield Armory takes this concept a step further. By pushing the decocker upwards, it transforms into a safety lever, effectively deactivating the trigger. This means you can carry the firearm in single-action mode, ensuring a consistent trigger pull when needed.
The price of the Springfield XD 45 for sale starts from $550 on average. Experts believe that the best price of the Springfield XD 45 for sale is currently available in many online stores, you just need to look well. As you understand, the Springfield XD 45 for sale is a fairly cheap pistol in comparison with some models. Buyers are usually satisfied with the price-quality ratio.
